George Kennan's excerpt discusses the blatant statement made by the soviet government as to united states relations. basically he describes them as unwilling to change to our style. he seems to be unopposed to united states interference because of their unwillingness to change. his words paint the picture of rivalry between the democratic united states and the communist Russian empire. Kennan describes the unwillingness of the Russian empire to even have a coexistence with the democracy of America and believes that the soviet way of government is corrupt. In the passage Kennan also seems to really push for the united states containment policy. it is clear he wants the spread of democracy and he fears communism could possible prevent it.
